The video feed from the robot camera employs some special effects to provide a rough look. One element is that the line order has been reversed. This is where the horizontal scan lines stacked from top to bottom of the screen to create a video image are out of sync so that the even numbered lines precede the odd numbered lines. This means that the even numbered lines are being displayed one frame ahead of the odd numbered line instead of one frame afterwards. This causes short horizontal lines to appear next to anything that shows motion. This artifact is often seen in videos that were not encoded properly. The second effect was the insertion of faint horizontal lines over the entire image. Beyond this, the image is slightly blurred.
