At a dinner theater in Dallas in the late 1980s, Ginger Rogers recounted how she was deeply disappointed that her life-long friend Margaret Sullavan who played Terry Randall on Broadway, was slated for the film version but became pregnant (with Brooke, a sometime actress of the 1960s) and bowed out. "Mag was everybody's dream girl for that part. Instead we got Hepburn who did a good job."
