The alias that Sam uses during the series, "Chuck Finley", is the name of a pitcher for the Angels from the 1990s, who was married to actress Tawny Kitaen, of Bachelor Party (1984) fame. It was also the name of the owner of the Oakland A's and Oakland Seals in the 70's. He was known as an innovator with things like the Designated Hitter and even a failed attempt at a designated runner.
