Costume designer Sandy Powell had to divide her duties between this film and Il ritorno di Mary Poppins (2018). Fortunately, the two productions used adjacent work spaces at Pinewood Studios. Both movies got her Oscar nominations for Best Costume Design that year, although Ruth E. Carter ultimately took home the statue for Black Panther (2018).
