Le avventure di Johnny Quest (1996) is the very first action-oriented series to be made for Cartoon Network to have anime influence themes, but the show was canceled for 52 episodes due to Cartoon Network started focusing entirely their successful series of Cartoon Cartoons like Il laboratorio di Dexter (1996), Johnny Bravo (1997) and Le superchicche (1998) and the show did not renew for a third season after it was cancelled along with Cave Kids (1997) and was replaced by Johnny Bravo and Cow and Chicken/I Am Weasel in the summer of 1997 during the Powerhouse era. However, there were no action shows to be made for Cartoon Network until Samurai Jack (2001), Megas XLR (2004), Ben 10 (2005) and Teen Titans (2003) were shown due to the rise of the anime boom in the 2000s.
