In western culture it is proper to capitalize the word God, as you would someone's name, when referring specifically to God and not 'a god'. Furthermore, pronouns used directly referencing Him are capitalized. Lucifer follows this in the closed captioning, taking it one step further in that whenever he refers to Him, as Dad or Father or even Daddy, these are all capitalized. In the 2nd season, the main antagonist was his Mother, the Goddess, they continued this as well capitalizing Mum, Her and She, when she was referenced in conversation.
