Deadpool 2 now holds the title of being the last film featuring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, as he appears through stock footage from X-Men: le origini - Wolverine (2009). However, in October of 2022, it was announced that Jackman would be returning as Wolverine in Deadpool 3, marking both characters' debut appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
