Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson, who portray Lestat and Louis, respectively, got along and became friends. The opposite was true for Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, who portray Lestat and Louis, respectively, in Intervista col vampiro (1994). Tensions between Cruise and Pitt grew generally due to Pitt's alleged poor personal hygiene and inflated egos. Whereas Reid and Anderson were able to bond through filming the show, share some common interests, and build a friendship.
