Eagle eyed fans may notice some of the exterior model shots of the Enterprise have been seen in previous films in the series. This was necessitated by the constraints placed on the editors when it became apparent that the visual effects company who were hired for this film had produced some substandard work. With no time or money left to redo any of the visuals needed the editors were forced to re-use some model shots from previous films in the editing suite and hope it wouldn't be noticed.
