Simon Helberg's father, Sandy Helberg, guest starred on MASH (1972), in season eleven, episode eight, MASH: The Moon Is Not Blue (1982). He played Corporal Bannister, who is plagued with panic attacks whenever he is around women. Hawkeye and B.J. give him pills for confidence without telling him they are placebos. The pills work, and he becomes a ladies' man. This is the same with Raj (Kunal Nayyar), who remedies his selective mutism with alcohol, and any product will work as long as he thinks there is alcohol in it.
