The Yamaha motorcycle shown (at approximately the 24 minute mark) as the "R.O.T.O.R. 222" Police bike is actually a Yamaha Seca 650 Turbo, manufactured from 1981 to 1983. The movie was released in 1987 so this fact does not show up in many internet searches because Yamaha didn't make a similar bike in 1987.
