Thor reveals to Valkyrie and Jane Foster that the Shadow Realm (Gorr's headquarter) is a no-color place. Color is a refraction of light, and any matter (living beings and inanimate objects) acquires color when a white ray of light from a star passes through it: part of the light is absorbed and the rest is reflected, and an object's color comes from that part of the light that is reflected. However, a black body absorbs all light, thus not reflecting any color. The Shadow Realm is shown as a black-and-white place, revealing it as a physics anomaly, not having a star to produce color but with enough light to be visible to the eyes.
