Despite its successful run, it does not have the same popularity and cult following as its sister show, Xena: Principessa guerriera (1995). Not only did Xena surpass Hercules in ratings when it aired, but Xena also became culturally significant and continued to be mentioned in thousands of articles, podcasts, polls, memes, etc, in the following years since the show ended right up to present times. Whereas in comparison, Hercules is rarely mentioned and does not have a cult following.
