There have been five American motion picture versions of "Little Women". In the role of Aunt March, Mary Wickes was the oldest at eighty-four in Piccole donne (1994); Meryl Streep and Julia Hurley in Little Women (1918) and the 2019 version were both seventy; Lucile Watson in Piccole donne (1949) was sixty-nine while Edna May Oliver in Piccole donne (1933) was the youngest at fifty. Two television versions - Little Women (1978) and Piccole donne (2017) - featured Greer Garson at seventy-four and Dame Angela Lansbury at ninety-two (making Lansbury the oldest to play Aunt March in either movies or television).
