For The New Adventures of Gilligan's Island; which was a Filmation spinoff of the original series; the original cast (sans Tina Louise and Dawn Wells) came back and did a "dumbed-down" rap variation on the original theme song. This was because Filmation presumed the Saturday morning kid audience of 1974 was too stupid to understand the original Scherwood Schwartz penned "Ballad of Gilligan's Island"; even though the audience of the original sitcom were mostly kids in the first place.
