It was Louise Robey's idea to give her character a very exotic appearance. She told Femme Fatales magazine, "I made her rather extravagant, with her hair and her makeup. I wanted her to have long nails, and her nails and her lips were going to match, no matter what the I problem was. It was a defense for her."
