The role of Abe was originally cast with a different actor. Chuck McCann was in Honolulu with his wife. He had won an all expense paid trip to Hawaii on The New Price Is Right (1972) after winning both Showcase Showdowns. The movie was shooting at his hotel when a series of misunderstandings resulted in him shooting scenes throughout the entire picture. It wasn't until the editing process that Andy Sidaris realized he had never cast Chuck Mcann in the role and had never spoke to him on set.
