In a scene in the end credits, Holzmann is working on some "next level stuff" that catches ghosts. When asked where they go, she says "I don't know, but I think it's somewhere in Michigan. Sorry Lansing". The characters in the original The Evil Dead movie are Michigan State University students, which is in Lansing. The cabin they go to where the Deadites are is outside of Lansing.
