The character of Nicky (aka Nicolas Kim Coppola) played by Nicholas Cage reminded him a little of Jerry Lewis' Buddy Love character in 'The Nutty Professor' (1963). Cage has said: ''I always admired what he did with that movie. For me, Nicky steals the show."
