Avengers: Endgame
SPOILERS AHEAD! Both films lead the audience to believe that Hawkeye will die a heroic death, only to subvert expectations with a fake-out that leaves another hero dying to save him. In "Ultron", Quicksilver sacrifices himself. In "Endgame", Black Widow commits the self-sacrifice.
