Basil l'investigatopo
Character Fidget looks, sounds and behaves (mischievously) like the Gremlin Stripe and both films have a scene in a toyshop where the protagonists use toys as vehicles and weapons suited to their small physical size. Both scenes also have a friendly dog (full size).
