Gamora flying out of her exploding ship is like that of the doomed Clone fighter pilot in the 2005 film's opening battle scene. In scene prior to that, Rocket and Star-Lord take out various enemy ships and cause them to collide and the way they crash also is the same as in the 2005 prequel film.
