Star Trek: The Galileo Seven
The opening of Into Darkness parallels the story of Galileo 7. Spock and his crew are stranded on an alien planet, out of range of the Enterprise's transporter beam. Spock chastises them for not leaving him behind, and Kirk risks his command by insisting on rescuing him.
