While Joker gives control of the Normandy to EDI, he jibes nonchalantly about becoming "human batteries" and "plugged in to the Overlord". Additionally, one of the game's characters, Aria T'Loak, is voiced by Carrie-Anne Moss, who played Trinity in The Matrix.
