Mat brings up how the CGI systems used to animate the wildebeest stampede were used to animated the flying whales in the Pines of Rome segment in Fantasia 2000. Mat later brings it up when he talks about Lebo M and when he talks about how, in a similar manner to this film, Dinosaur had it's opening scene released as the teaser trailer.
