When Johnny Crowder meets the cartel lieutenant, he is instructed to don a hood, as it is the "price of admission" to see the boss. The scene is almost identical to the scene in Mission Impossible (1996) where Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is instructed to wear a similar hood before he is taken to meet the arms dealer, Max.
