Filmbuff: For Jackson
The first opening segment to Filmbuff includes 4 movie references it refers to or spoofs. The first is Citizen Kane. Then, the parents lead it into Ferris Buellers Day Off, as Will breaks the fourth wall to his audience, interrupted by a joke in light of Say Anything (a lovelorn character holding a TV/vcr over his head instead of the traditional boom box playing Peter Gabriel). And, finally, it ends at a restaurant, turning into the famous diner robbery opening sequence from Pulp Fiction, starting the credits. In the initial script, Will wrote several more references in the background alone, as he walked to his location, I.e. Forrest Gump sitting on the bench in the background, a random newspaper boy riding by on his bike yelling he wants his 2 dollars, etc. They ran out of both time and money to complete that idea successfully.
