Castle: Law & Murder
References to Runaway Jury starring John Cusack, based on the book by John Grisham. The victim's name is "McKusick", a play on Cusack. Bruce Davison plays the lead attorney in both movies; his character says, "A juror bribing his way onto a trial? I have never in my 25 years as a prosecutor seen anything like it." (He played a defense attorney in Runaway Jury, so he's telling the truth.) At one point, Castle says the case reads just like a Grisham novel - which it's pretty close to being.
