Given the timing of events--the "17 hours earlier" note when the Dwyer family had 11.5 hrs left on their flight, the fact they arrived in the dark, and the fact the meeting between the prime minister and the water executive happened in the dark--the meeting (and assassination) must have taken place at an odd hour, in the middle of the night or early morning.
