During the Dum Dum game, Johnny Knoxville asks Jason 'Wee Man' Acuña, "What family of instruments does the piano belong to?" Wee Man answers, "Strings," but Knoxville replies that the piano is a percussion instrument. Wee Man gets whacked in the genitals for getting the wrong answer.However, the piano is considered by many to be both a stringed and a percussion instrument, so Wee Man was not technically incorrect. According to the Hornbostel-Sachs system, a system that classifies musical instruments, the piano belongs to the percussive chordophone family.
