Detective Spooner is recounting his accident that causes him to distrust robots. In the flashback, it shows him inside his car under water at the bottom of the river. An NS4 robot saves him by breaking the passenger window and asks if he is okay. Water should have immediately poured in through the broken window but Spooner has time to shout, "Save the girl!" Only then does the car start to fill up with water, from the bottom up, while the robot pulls him to safety.
