The photograph of the 'USS Lawton' shows it to be a South Dakota-class battleship. However, it was the US Navy's official practice to name battleships after States. The Lawton should have been a cruiser named after the city of Lawton, Oklahoma, or a destroyer named after a decorated war veteran.
