There could never be an aircraft with the call sign "Yankee Zephyr". If it was an American aircraft of World War 2 vintage it would be "Yankee Zulu". If it was British, it would be "Yoke Zephyr". The two phonetic alphabets were distinct entities until the establishment of NATO, well after the end of World War Two.
