There are five barrels on the Orca and four get shot into the shark, but the first is later removed. This occurs just before Quint destroys the radio. The barrel is no longer attached to the shark and just as Quint says to Brody "where are you going", Hooper is shown on the right of screen holding the barrel. When we next see Hooper he is putting the barrel back with the others just as he sees Quint through the window destroying the radio. This means all five barrels should be on the orca at this moment but when we next see the barrels there are only four when there should be five.
