Whilst Mullins and Ashburn are in a diner, a customer begins to choke. He stands and Mullins unsuccessfully tries the Heimlich maneuver. The customer falls to the ground and lies there patiently with his arms outstretched as Ashburn begins to perform a tracheotomy on him. That is not how choking victims behave. They will immediately panic and turn red and clutch at their throat/neck and most likely flail about until they eventually pass out if not rescued promptly. Of course, the movie makers couldn't have filmed the scene that way, so they conceded reality to get the shot.
