During one of Hugh Glass' dream sequences, he is seen at an abandoned church. The arched steeple where the bell remains is swinging from a damaged arch, missing a good chunk from it. Given the weight of a bell, there is no way that arch remains standing. The only thing that could be plausible is that it is a dream sequence, which may suspend reality.
