In the scene of the twins learning the jump shot, the young man teaching them says "That's how Magic Johnson won back-to-back MVPs." The film is set in 1985. Larry Bird had won back-to-back MVPs in 1984 and 1985 and would win again in 1986; Magic Johnson didn't win the MVP until 1987.
