In the final scene the school bus pulls away leaving Forrest on the right and a line of white mail boxes to the left. Three of the mail boxes have round blue containers to put rolled up newspapers in attached to them. Between the bus departing shot and the white feather shot a newspaper appears and disappears in the blue container on the far left.
