About 128 minutes Rawlings kills the "evil" German pilot by shooting him with a pistol. Rawlings pulls his goggles off and watches the plane crash. Rawlings is shown without even a flutter of wind with his eyes uncovered. This is patently false. Even if he was flying slowly, he could not keep his unprotected eyes open that long. In fact this occurs with different pilots several times during the film.
