It's not clear what years this "story of my wife" is taking place, but it's framed as taking place in the past. The most readable calendar in the first summer scene shows July 4th on a Friday. That is consistent with 1952, but that month was six months in the future from the film's release date. Also, the calendar for a winter month seen in the kitchen at the start of the film is not correct for any winter month of 1951-52.
