The movie shows Crockett becoming romantically involved with 'Flaca' after his arrival in San Antonio with no mention of Crockett's family.By 1836, Crockett was married to his second wife, Elizabeth Patton. They were raising a total of eight children. Crockett had gone to Texas to gain land and employment before taking his family there to settle. After his death, his family did move to Texas, using land earned by Crockett for his service and sacrifice at the Alamo.
