Blood on Max's head appears and disappears as he tries to escape from the War Boys and makes it to the outside. When Max first sees the outside of the Citadel from high up, there's no blood as he looks down. When he looks up, a patch of blood appears near his hairline. When he turns around towards the camera, the blood has gone again. As he prepares to do a running jump for the swinging hook, the blood is there. It's gone again as he swings around on the hook, and then appears again as the War Boys get hold of him and pull him in.
