When Grace and Debbie are at the spa, Grace tells Debbie that Bruce told her to spend the day relaxing because he had a big surprise for her that night (the news of his work promotion). However, this scene takes place before Bruce gets the idea to sabotage Evan's career on the air (so as to secure the anchor position) rather than after.
