When the DeLorean lands in the alley in 2015 with the tires folding up, it comes to a final rest with the front tires sticking out slightly past the front fenders. In the next shot from the front of the car, the tires are tucked up under the fenders as they are throughout the rest of the first and second films when shown driving on the ground.
