The stadium continuously gets referred to as Green Point Stadium rather than it's correct name. Green Point Stadium was demolished before the 2010 World Cup Soccer tournament that was hosted by South Africa. The new stadium built on the site is called Cape Town Stadium. South Africans may have still referred to it by it's old name, but foreigners would have called it by the correct name.
