A tsunami is created by a massive displacement of water, and since the San Andreas is mostly under land, it is unlikely to generate a tsunami at all. Because the San Andreas is a slip-strike fault, even the minor northern portions of the fault that are under water wouldn't directly cause enough displacement to create a large tsunami.It is possible that an earthquake on land could trigger a submarine landslide which could create a tsunami, but it would be very unlikely to be close to the magnitude of the wave depicted.
