At the end of the film, Aunt Clara retires for the evening and David and Lowell leave at 1:19m. At 1:22m she hears the commotion between Ellen and Mr. Kent in the hallway outside her door, and is dialing the phone. She hears the door slam downstairs at 1:24m and correctly guesses it's David. However, David had only left five minutes earlier and it would be impossible for her to reach him at his home, tell him what was happening, and for him to drive back to her house all in a span of five minutes.
