When Colonel Moore introduces Sgt Major Plumley, he says that he made all four parachute drops with the 82nd airborne division in WW2. However, He never made any combat jumps. He was assigned to the 320th Glider Field Artillery Battalion and was inserted into Normany and Holland via glider, and didn't even participate in the Sicily/Italian campaigns. He didn't make a jump into Korea either.
