Tim Robbins is only 13 years older than Peter Saarsgard, yet the former plays the latter's father. In addition, Saarsgard's character Hammond looks older than Saarsgard, while Tim Robbins' character Senator Hammond appears to be the same age as Robbins (in his early 50s), making the age difference look even less than 13 years. For the sake of being believable, either Saarsgard should have looked younger or Robbins should have looked older.
