(at around 56 mins) Dr. Merrick states "To avoid obvious complications, they aren't imprinted with an awareness of sex." This would be virtually impossible. Since they are clones, regardless of what is psychologically "imprinted", they would still physically feel the natural urge for sex.However, it is clear that a clone's brain is not exactly the same as their owner's and they simply reprogrammed it to their needs.
